View Full Version : Robbie Deans, out?

Well, is Deans done? I would say that the Aussies will axe him within a week.
International coaches carry the can when teams dont win, and the Aussies have never really wanted him so I guess they will put him on the next bus out of town.
It would have to be an optimistic ( foreign born ) national coach that buys a house in the country he's employed by, in todays world

Don't mate but they were in the shit by half time by I think 19 - 3
I don't know much about Rugby but if I was Deans I'd be getting rid of a few of them . The first would be the Full Back, 'cockup' must be his middle name.

:stupid:Suffered through that game last night myself, not that i give a shite about the Aussies just wanted them to win for Deans sake.Personally i think it would be a brave man who stuck there hand up for that job.Methinks the problem with Australian rugby is they have fuck all in the way of internal competition ie we have the NPC and the Africans there Currie cup.Whats next for Deans ive no idea, wish he was still coaching the Crusaders myself. On a brighter note my Highlanders supporting mate convinced me to put $20 on them to beat Wellington and the buggers paid $3.70.:headbang:

It would be like the All Blacks having a foreign coach
Destroy the national spirit, its the OZ executives dumb fault
or like orks hiring a nut job:lol:

I always thought he was more of a development coach than a national coach. I wanted him to do okay over there, but hes never had the pool of players that an AB coach would have to pick from. The Aussie reaction will be no different to NZ's reaction if an Aussie was our coach.
At least, once he has gone, I can go back to enjoying seeing the Aussies getting thrashed by the All Blacks.

The standard response. Youse blokes dismiss a pretty good game because of some hang-up about 80's fashion.

No problem here with 80s sporting attire Dave tis just when worn by large Australian men playing with balls i find it a bit off.

No - I mean that like basketball and Rugby - the fashion of sports uniforms changes.
The standard Kiwi response is 'they wear tight shorts'. Pahleeese.
It's a shit game in the wet or the rules don't make much sense - and I'd agree or say - well it was invented by the Irish.
It's like me saying I don't like Rugby because they wear skin tight Jerseys.
I don't like Rugby because of the stomping and the incessant penalties.

I like rugby far less because they've outlawed it. In the old days...if you were offside and tried to kill the ball/slow play down...you'd pay the fucking price. No whistle involved Son.

The reason they wear kit they do is because a proper follow through on a 50+ mtr drop punt looks like this.

Aaaah yes the old days, sort out shit yourselves, extra hard rucking, the odd punch in a lineout or a maul, all good shit. None of this namby pamby telling the ref on each other like what is happening now, or worse asking the ref to ask for a replay on the big screen from a few minutes or plays back like that softcock Ali Williams does (homo). Actually don't get me started on the TMO, its ruining rugby for me more than anything else, to the point of cancelling my SKY subscription.
Still the best sport in the world though.

I used to work with a guy called Bruce. When he was a young lock on the rise he got to play against Colin Meads. He thought he'd soften the old boy up by giving him a whack in the first lineout which he duly did. The second linout came ... and Bruce approached it pretty pleased with himself for asserting himself over the old fella. Bruce was unconscious for two minutes after that second lineout...

He shoulda been watching out for a guy called Stan. Was probably also in that lineout.

Yes he is, wants a Aussie coach he does. Stage left Robbie. PRESENTING Jake White, the best Wallabies coach South Africa has to offer
At least he will bring the South African ethos into the game and at last play to the aussies strengths, the scrum and ford play :devil2:

Yeah, it's pretty much a given that the new coach has to bring him in....Personally, I'd put Cooper's chances of working out at no better than 50/50. Ironic if he doesn't work out for them and gets dropped...Very much doubt if you'd hear "Robbie was right" from Jones and co...

In a rare display of intelligence, Aussie don't fuck about with this "five eighths" nonsense. They have fly halves and inside centre(three-quarter)s like sensible people.
