ive just gona purchased some matte black vinyl,
its the
Avery Dennison® Supreme Wrapping Film
once it arrives ill be wrapping my bike as it needs a new color
bikes done 112,000kms and has a small dent in the tank from a ute (female driver ) reversing into it
so ill tidy up the dent and recover the whole bike :)
this way i dont have to spend heaps painting and the next owner can decided to repaint/ wrap,
ive also purchased a 954 clear taillight that with a bit of fetting will fit in perfect and be a great upgrade to the tail,
and i have a custom seat cover to recover my seat

Ooo how much did the vinyl set you back?
Interested in seeing how you get on with it as I am looking to do mine in black vinyl too.
What are you going to use to fill the dent with before you put the vinyl on?

my work m8 has some type of metal filler, looks the bees,
the filler contains titanium oxide
l i paid $60 for 3ft x 5ft and 2x 3m primer pens
the primer pens help keep those tight edges in place

i only have a tank/tail to do, you may need more

seems the avery supreme is the best for sharp curves

Keen to see the outcome of the avery ... was going to buy some 3m 1080 but their claims of it not needing "primer" had me second guessing.

Not too bad, you can buy small bits of vinyl very cheap, so do that and practice on as many random shaped objects as possible.

CF vinyl isn't the most convincing though, real CF is much prettier

Suck some knob at your local boat builders, get carbon off cuts (finer the better) and wrap your parts with real carbon.

It's like real fake tits, instead of just fakes.

I had all sorts of comments to make about this, but then clearly, none of them would of reflected well on your current good lady wife, so I refrained.

Ever think of sticking a valve in em drew, inflate them at your leisure? They have a valve already. They get put in 'deflated', and the saline is pumped in once they're positioned. Be a bit weird if there was a little plastic tube dangling from her armpits though.

If I was to cover a small Givi screen, how do I finish off the back of it?I would trim it to the edge of the screen, and cut a plastic tube along it's length, then glue it onto said edge.

There is a blast from the past for me. I used to service their automatic labellers in NZ. Overcomplicated German Crap - but when they worked they used to hummmm and fly. We could shoot 100's of labels a second with an ALS.
