I'm looking to trade my Bandit 250 for a Hyosung GT250R.
I hear you asking 'Why?!? Bandits are awesome and much faster than a Hyobag!'
Well it just so happens that I want to try my hand at racing! I thought the Hyosung cup and production 250 would be the most fun to start out with so I need a bike eligible for these races.
So if you have a Hyosung that you're bored with and want to trade up to a GSF250V (it's the VVT model!) then let me know. I'm not too worried about cosmetic condition, it can have scratched fairings and whatnot, as long as it's mechanically sound I'm happy. Would prefer it in as close to stock form as possible due to the regulations for the race class.
Also open to cash offers if you don't have a Hyosung to trade.

I've had this bike for awhile, but now it just sits in the garage not being used (bought a 1200 to replace it).
These are a good naked sports bike for a learner, still making 40HP (faster than the EX250 Kawasaki 'Ninja' and it's GT250R Hyosung counterpart). This model has variable valve timing that kicks in at 10,000 RPM which gives it a bit more poke up top. Great for when you need that little bit extra when overtaking.
It's not perfect cosmetically but it is mechanically sound. Got a fresh WoF for it recently and it flew through no problems. Has ~39000 kms on the clock.
The paint on the top of the tank is in poor shape, but I've put a coat of plasti-dip over it. Tank has a few small dents, if you wanted to get it looking mint again I'd recommend a new tank, but this one does the job just fine if you're not overly concerned about cosmetics. Was planning on giving it a respray but haven't got round to it. Has a few scratches on the exhaust from a lowside on a roundabout.
Comes with a few spares and can put on a bar end mirror if you'd like, (currently has standard mirrors, but they're not the nicest looking things in the world).
It has higher and further back rearsets so you get a slightly more aggressive riding position, has Pirelli Diablo's on front and rear with plenty of tread (great tyre).
It's just had a new battery as well as the old one was getting a bit tired.
The plastic cover for the rev counter has gone missing, I thought I had it in the garage somewhere but can't seem to find it. Ordering another one but it'll take a little while to arrive as it's coming from Hong Kong.
It's a great bike that has served me well, will give it new oil and filter prior to sale so it's nice and fresh for the new owner.
Any questions feel free to ask, viewing is welcome. Bike is located in Hamilton.
Just took some pictures with my phone camera:
PHOTO 1: Side shot of bike
PHOTO 2: Scrapes on exhaust
PHOTO 3: Damage to tank - the rubber sealant used on the top of the tank to protect exposed metal is called Plasti-Dip, it's commonly used to respray and protect cars and motorbikes as it is easy to remove if you change your mind about the colour. It's pretty cheap so it'd be easy to respray the whole bike with it if that's what you wanted to do.
PHOTO 4: Other side of the bike
PHOTO 5: Right side.
PHOTO 6: Right side from the front (shows the tank damage quite well).
PHOTO 7: Rear.
PHOTO 8: Left side.
PHOTO 9: I peeled off some of the rubber coating on the tank to show what condition the paint is in underneath. It's similar to this across the top of the tank underneath the rubber: Badly scratched and sun damaged clearcoat.
