Bench sync them before fitting.

careful heating with a heat gun may warm the rubbers and make it easier and use some lube that will stay there rather than soapy water apply real lightly though

two tricks I have used.
smear a very small amount of grease around the inner of the boots.
Warm the boots up in hot/warm water, whip them out, dry them, and assemble while still relatively warm and pliable

Armourall is what I use to get the boots nice and slippery, and they look so shiney too.:innocent:

vaccum guages only for when on the bike running, bench synch would be along the lines of adjusting your
linkage so that the butterflys open evenly etc (not sure what type/model carbs you have)
as above id lube the boots with a bit of oil or what have you, im guessing the carbs are on a downdraught
angle? so you can get a bit of bodyweight in behind them to wrestle them in
older bikes i use a block of wood and a car scissor jack to persuade the fuckers:Police:

I just heat them up with the heat gun. I set it to medium heat.
Bit of silicon spray, and away ya go. Might miss a bit while it breathes the silicon overspray, but it wont hurt it.

ya i got her going today runs smooth i made mistake loosing little part out the electronic
device that hooks on to the end of the crabs and goes to the cdi and ignigtion
so i took it of for konw i assuming i need replace the unit with new one cant see that part being sold.
is it going be problem to run it without it .
So far i think got 10 % more grey hair and only rode it around the block twice. scary
Makes the vfr 750 seem like a bloody vespa am not confident i get used to it either
Was shaking a bit gezz i never had bike do that to me not sure even why.

That's the throttle position sensor.
Without it I imagine the bike will be running with the timing not adjusting to rev/throttle correction.

Hi drew its tiny black plastic piece round with two slots both ends like flat head screw driver blade
it hooks into the carb side on the end of the carb that truns then it turns the bit in the tps
Bike works well for 79,000 km makes my vfr 750 feel slow . dam but feels like going slide of the
Back the bike when twist the grip damm . lots torque seems just blib the trottle
And its away i see after all these years bigger engines are cool
Got to sort the front brakes probley new piston seals cleaning them at the moment
(new front pads there destoryed . oh well i not going rev it to much only done 9km on it.
I get back on the vfr and think shit this is slow hehe well just doesint just goes better with
3000 on the dial , but surprising thing this cbr feels like revs more easily than the v4 nice.
I had cb 750 intergra new back in day i thought was boring felt like car motoe vfr and cbr
Are light years better .
Should imagine i chould get engineering firm to make piece to sit inbetween move the tps
I slid the forks back down so there flush with the tripple clamps alot better feel.
gee going be tough choice which one to sell might need money soon pay for my mums
Funneral .

Only trouble is i made mistake trying take out one of the main needle seats and damaged it
Can u get replacment ? i tryed tap it out through from float side as xr 200 carbs but damaged
The top surface that sits few mms in the mian trottle bore

Post a picture mate. Sounds like you damaged the emultion (sp) tube. If it's just the jet they're easy to get.

Yip, that's a fucked emultion tube right there.
I'm not familiar with the CBR carbs in any detail, but they are often replaced on other bikes. You'll need to find out what way they come out from someone who has done them, or a manual.

Oh crap it says in the haynes if needle valve seat is damaged the carbureter assembly must be replaced seat isnt
able to be replaced indvidually
Feck found place in the states that replaces them 280.00 us plus postage holy feck that was one expensive dumb ass
