Hi,
I've been looking around forums the last few weeks for info on decent 2 piece leather for tall yet thin people to wear. Am about 194cm tall and weight 79 kgs. I've been a to shops in takapuna and a few randoms on trademe to try on gear. But found nothing that fits snug and would have the right length. Shop owners trying to convince me to get shorter jackets and pants as it will be covered with gloves and boots anyway.. but I'm sure thats not right. Surely there are brands available in NZ that make long mediums for example!
I keep reading about guys that are having the same dilemma, but no proper answer. There has got to be a brand or two out there that have picked up on this issue.
What I\m after is a two piece leather suit that will protect me the best, something i could wear in winter and summer, not for wet weather though as I highly doubt I'll ride that much in the rain.
Thanks in advance

I got a jacket made for my Mrs made at Jet Leathers in Hastings. Top job and made to measure.
Perfect fit and the bloke was good to deal with.

Maybe try Lesley at Blue Moon Leather in Drury.
She has a shop in Drury and she would probably be keen to stitch something up for you.

Try Rev'IT or Alpinestars they have quite long limbs.

I tried rev'it suit just before at motomail.. guys were really helpfull and patient. They have long pants for skinny legs (YUSSS), and they fitted so well. Jackt was slightly short around the arms, but with right pair of gloves, or even get the hands lengthened slightly, it might do the trick. All for under 900 doesn't seem too bad for brand new race leathers.
Going to try on a couple more later on to see if I could find a better fit.
On the note though I tried the Dainese jacket and it fit slightly better in terms of length, but much more expensive and the pants dont come in long version. But if you have the money its defintely a good option.
Joe Rocket I've read more about, cant find it being sold anywhere in NZ though.. maybe look at importing a pair.. but then tax would sting right where it hurts.
