Hey guys, asking here cause I thought you lot would have some spares. I need a link for a 525 chain for the gfs bike, before a track day on sunday. Anyone have a spare or know who would have one in stock in Auckland tomorrow?
If anyone has one please give me a text on 021646456
Cheers!

Yeah that's what I figured, but had a few failures so far. Maybe they don't want to sell them to a Honda rider?

So you've had a few failures of split link & that still hasn't convinced you to rivet link it?
Split links are suitable for low hp bikes. Too much of a gamble for bigger bikes considering the consequences (of which a walk home is the best outcome).

You wouldn't believe the number of people that use the clip links and lock wire the clip. It works but ...

Good guess but no, I have a low HP 400 with a worn out chain. I have a new chain but can't locate the link. I intend to be doing a bit of work to the bike so a split link will enable me to remove the chain and put it to one side to get it out of the way. Plus I don't have the rivet tool, so was trying to make it a little easier on myself.
Fully agree re. bigger bikes though. And in any case, I don't seem to be able to find one so a rivet type will probably be the go after all!
