Common enough in places in africa where you can get more passengers in your taxi doing this.

One of my flatmates in Melbourne had a car like that. I drove it quite a few times - it was fine, except parking was a bit of a chore.

Quite a useful tool. and no where in the article did it say the vice grips contributed to eratic or dangerous driving, Although the cops did have a valid point. :nono:

What are you on about? Most of us will own at least one vehicle that does not have a steering wheel and it's still perfectly road legal.

Given that this is a biker forum an' alll.

No surprises here at all, I have seen fellas cutting extra tread into car tires with chainsaws, beer crates in place of drivers seats, 5 liter fuel cans on the dashboard feeding the carby, bits of string through the window and hooked up to the carby in place of cables, and even doors held shut with the seatbelt, so nothing really surprises me anymore.:devil2:

Rusty one busted a push rod in his Falcon up country and used a tent peg as a replacement. 'Sounded pretty bad, but it got me 'ome' he said.
