‘Easy Rider’ star Peter Fonda is suing fashion house Dolce & Gabbana over a t-shirt featuring his image from the iconic 1969 biker movie.
Fonda, 73, claims the image was used without his permission and has asked for US$ 6 million for "injuries to his peace, happiness, goodwill and reputation". He has also filed a share of any profits from the t-shirts, selling for US$300 each.
Easy Rider, directed by and co-starring the late Dennis Hopper, ushered in a new era of gritty American cinema when it was released at the tail end of the 1960s.
