And I am talking about her being a pillion so keep yer minds outta the gutter!:bleh:

Just a quick jaunt around Palmie, then over to Woodville and back via the gorge....She loved it and lost track of the time...I think the Vulcan 1500 is a great bike and absolutely love being on it. Jane was really enjoying herself too even though she was apprehensive to start with.....Think it was a
win-win day!

So, need to get her ready for the Fat Bikers thing in Taupo later on in the year.....so a few more short rides are in order!:niceone:

Good on you for getting the Missus back on a bike. Made me think about my own situation. My Missus enjoyed riding pillion when we first met and into the early years of marriage. But once we became parents she proclaimed bikes were too dangerous and we can't risk both of us being killed at the same time. Sort of had to agree with her logic but it's a shame we have never ridden together again.

I guess woman don't appreciate that the way we ride, and the way we carry a pillion, are at opposite ends of the safety spectrum.

Please don't say that too loud or in the wrong company, for the sunday morning outings may never be the same again once the wifey finds out...:shit:

Was that to celebrate you still being on your L? Does she know that technically & legally speaking, you aren't qualified to ride 2 up?

Sounds like a fun ride all the same. Do the loop and go over the saddle. :devil2:

Dunno about that, years back the mrs used to don a pack and we would clock up some big trips, once when heading over to the west coast as we approached "conrod straight" just south of Arthurs Pass village she started whacking me on the lid so i pull over and ask wtf to which she tells me basically to give it heaps down the straight, tis a long straight with nothing but tussock filled area on both sides so minimal chances of any surprises so off we go..got up around 240 something which was pretty much tapped out 2 up with gear and after we came to a halt before the bridge she had the biggest grin on her face, she loved it and explained she was trying to look over my shoulder at the speedo but couldnt move her head...

Bren - That's great news! I took my missus this Easter and it was a positive experience. She's looking forward to more rides, once I get it fixed that is...
