Spark plug lube?

Hey Guys

I'm looking to lubricate the threads of the spark-plugs on my bike

Going into alloy heads

Any recommendations for a good brand of lube that will stop galling and conduct electricity?

Now I used to put a dab of copper-seal on them for years but found a note on NGK's website some time back stating their plugs come factory coated and one should not oil, grease or KY Jelly them before fitting to alloy heads.

Is that a tui moment ? Is the coating self adhesive to alloy ? the last few plug threads i've helicoiled have all had NGK's stuck in them.

Everything i put a plug in now gets a dab of Copaslip.

Note to self, start using copaslip on plugs, cos if its good enough for grumph...

Some people worry about altering the heat range with lubricating plugs, but dirty or worn out threads would be just as bad. Have a few seize on you and you take precautions. I'm using a graphite grease these days.
