On the entry form the cost is listed as $250 per rider, is this correct or is it $250 per bike so if there were two riders it would be $125 each not $500.

Try that link again.

Its $125 for the 1 hour and $250 for the 3 hour, per bike.

What sort of bikes and classes do they have at these 1 and 3 hr races nowdays ??
Used to be 600s for the hour and big bikes for the 3 hr.
(well not always) But as there is no production now I haven't a clue ?

600's are now classed as Big Bikes for the 3 hour now days... Only 3 seconds off the Supers ;)

The 1 Hr is for The old F3, now Superlites and below.
This means 650 Twins and 450 Fours....

So it sounds like Team Air Force Racing will have 2 bikes in the 1 Hour.....
Could be hare and tortoise?

You 'tard guys could always try a simple thing like looking at the existing rules and nut out an easy way to make yer 4fiddy legal for F3/Superlite. Or even better, turn it into a Moto450.

Not having a go at you Scotty, just as easy to alter the bike as get rules changed .......

why would I want to do that? it was perfectly safe last time i raced in F3, and even when Pete raced his KX500 in the late 80's/early 90's,

I only have one bike suitable, if i turn it into a Moto 450 it is a mission to change it back to a MX bike to do a club mx or a trial ride,

and the only reason i asked is because i am pretty sure that even tho i have had a MNZ liceince for 26 years, and raced the streets 5 years ago, I will have to get a few events in my log book to race a street race in your neck of the woods as part of a few other events in in the last week in november, and having an hour of track time seemed pretty fun,

Maaaate, I completely understand - don't forget I was fanging the mighty 465 around the tracks and streets while you were in nappies !!!!

I can think of a very simple way of doing it, all it takes is some lateral thinking .......

Yeah - At a track like Manfeild I didn't find it an issue motards/F3 bikes. At Wanganui on the other hand was dangerous, the styles are just to different on the street circuit.

Well known picture that, among anoraks anyway! Common concensus is that he must have stopped for adjustments up the road and picked up his ciggie.

I think it's early 50s? Note the USD forks, not much new these days.

Running out of gas in an endurance race MMMM -then theres the long push of shame back to the pits -probably more costly than the $400 fine.
Hey billy I know iuts in the book somewhere but what about running out of gas during practice?

Kiwi Graham
13th September 2013, 11:49
Ha ha good call, its not in the book but I expect it will be amended, the consequences are the same regardless of whether your practising, qualifying or racing.

Yip,

Safety rule change on its way,You know the funny thing is the more slants and criticisms of this rule,The more I'm glad we implemented it.In fact it just proves how apathetic the members are when they do NOTHING to prevent a rulechange they despise so much.

If you do run out of gas,,,just chuck half a conrod and some oil on the deck and you will be sweet!
