Thought I'd introduce myself since I've been lurking on the forum the past few months. The name's Damian and I started riding last July at the tender age of 45. One year and 13,500km's later I can safely say I'm hooked. My wife and two kids are really supportive too :) Last January I passed the new one hour Class 6R test and now counting down the months until I can sit the Class 6F test in July-14. My trusty stead is a 2012 Honda CBR250R and most weekends I head out from home on the North Shore to NE of Wellsford or south through Clevedon and Kawakawa Bay. Have ridden the odd 1,000km weekend ride and next February plan to complete the TT2000 endurance event (without breaking any of my 6R conditions).

So that's about it for now.

Cheers,
Damian

Edit: Forgot to mention, commuting daily come rain or shine always puts a smile on my face

welcome. I have a similar story to yourself. Often wonder why I waited until my 40s to get a bike but who cares! OUt there doing it now. A supportive wife is the best.

Welcome along guys, a better wife is one who has 2 motorcycles of her own.(when they're both going) of course.
Enjoy yer bikes and take the missus for a few trips, who knows she may surprise you and want to get one herself.
