Hey guys,

The front of my Hyosung has a fairly conservative look. I saw a twin headlight set on trademe (1st pic) and thought it wouldnt be too hard to get a couple of oldish Kawasaki/Zuki headlights and make up my own bracket and fit them to my bike. Also I like the look of the screen on the twin headlights whereas I dont think the bike would look good with the screen on the single light.

So can anyone think of an issues I havent thought of? Its it going to be quite expensive to buy secondhand units? Im assuming I would just rock on up to a secondhand dealer and find some that look about right.

Thanks in advance.

Hey I have just ordered a set of these lights as part of a pack for my bandit, the beauty of buying them brand new is they come with all the mountings and an easy to install wiring set(aparantly anyway), these light sets are less than half what i was quoted buy 2 differant stores and they come in chrome or black, I would say go the new lights.

Dont buy second hand or any of that shit from overseas (iof you do just make sure it's legal and will get a WOF (if you know people though, it's not a problem), something simalar me and Death did with the TL was buy a new set of Beull XB headlights brand new $120 from welly M/C, and the small screen bout the same price as well, it's legal and looks the bizzo for far less money than any other jobbies out there. if you're reasonably clever you can suss out a mounting bracket pretty easy.

Ok, been doing some research and have found out that the Triumph Speed Triple only has run-o-the mill 'Bates' headlights. So this sounds fairly standard, and google will tell you it is if you are anywhere else in the world...so the question is does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there somewhere I can buy these in NZ? Ill give some shops a call tomorrow but it helps to be armed with the info.

Thanks guys.

Hi
what about this one? Is a universal headlight, suitable for most bikes.

Yeah not bad. They dont have it listed as a product but im sure all I have to do is ask. Not really the style Im going for though. Thinking more like the Triumph Speed Triple. Maybe with a small screen too.
Thanks though.

I sell the ones on Trade me, Havn't had any probs with them. They run Halogens and I have been informed by a customer with the speed triple that they look, (to him) way bettey than his originals. I agree though there is alot of rubish out there, buyer beware: even from some dealers. :sherlock:

Yeah they are nice units and probably a good no hassle option but I they are bit steep for me. My bike only cost $6K new. I have looked at the Buell XB12S headlight option and it looks attractive. You can get the light unit for $140 and with the right tools and resources you should be able to make a pair of brackets. Will have a think about it for a while...

The problem with using the original lights from the speed triple is they dont mount onto the forks, they have a bracket off the frame

Hey, I've got one of those on my ZXR... Acerbis Cyclops, these are definitely the best looking ones I've seen that are DOT marked for your WOF etc and are pretty cheap.

Is that your bike ? If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those indicators ? They look great.

Doh... Cancel that, just saw your post on micro indicators...

Sedge.

You have to make your own brackets - not a big deal

I did this one for a Monster
