I'm looking at rewiring my 1970's kawasaki with motogadget gear because it seems like it would simplify the whole system, and probably save me from having to pull my hair out while twitching in frustration while checking through the whole 37 year old loom...
Have anyone out there ever used a motogadget system before? What are you suggestions/thoughts?
Here's their website - some pretty nifty little gears! --> www.motogadget.com

Screw terminals mmm .. that would be modern .not.
You'd be asking for trouble unless you could utilise some form of wire crimp terminal that can then be secured into the screw terminal.

So you think that the screw terminals would come loose while riding? Hmm....

I've not used it myself, but a couple of guys have rewired their hawks with an m-unit at the center and have been happy with the results.
On crimping, don't twist the wire before putting it in there and it will be more durable. But also more annoying to get in there right so do it while the thing is out of the bike and avoid much swearing :bleh:
