Hey everyone, I want this post to be a helpful / buying tip for anyone that's getting a CR250.
Ok well, I've just purchased a 03' CR250r, I'm 14, 5'11 and I'm 110 KG/s (Yes I'm going to the gym to lose weight) I was told by MANY people that this bike would be waaay to powerful for me and I should just go with a CR125, but I thought why? A bike can only go as powerful as you make it so I went out and brought one. Holy shit.
1. The powerband is not to be under estimated, the bike doesn't wheelie on me because of my weight which is semi helpful but before I knew it I was in 4th gear and hooning along lol.
I had a friend come over to give me some MX tips today and the bike is bloody great fun, I managed to conquer ruts today and the bike just flies through them and I can power out of it and not be thrown off the bike. I rode a CRF450 (480 kitted) and every time I twisted the throttle it pushed me back and I hated it, not with this bike - I can be flicking through the gears and I stay on the bike which I love!

Well I hoped this help anyone that was wondering about buying one of these bikes, feel free too leave any comments etc..

Kindest Regards - Anakin :)

a change of diet plan and plenty of exercise will see that weight come off quickly.
say 2-4 hours of riding 3-5 days a week should do the trick!! :woohoo:

It's actually pretty clever. You start with higher weight. Over time you get more and more experience and also lose weight, so you're bike gets more and more powerful. Much better then having to upgrade bikes all the time.

Anyway, glad that you're happy with your bike.
