Funny thing hearing the 'Otaaago' chant echoing around the park drowning out Mooloo boys.

When the ref rolls his ' R's, what else could you expect. <_<

To be honest, I have lived in the Waikato for 60 years, and cant stand the stupid cow bell thing.

A zillion dairy cows in the region and not one of them wears a bloody bell around its neck.

AH, so that why the neighbors were being so noisy last night. Makes sense now, I didn't think the AB,s were playing last night.
I hope they are liking this, that has been on repeat on the stereo in the garage for the last hour and a half.

The only thing winning it guarantees is that one day, you will lose it. I don't really care if we don't hold it for long either. We've done the deed in my lifetime and I am now overwhelmed by a great inner peace!

I bet we get a bigger crowd at Forsyth Barr than they got in Hamilton last night though. The place will rock!

.

Err - the Ref (Glen Jackson) was born in Fielding, played for BOP, and had 60 games for the Chiefs.

Yea, I know, was just taking the piss. What amazed me was how slow the game seemed to be played, compared to the super 15 and international games. The pace of the game actually made it easier to follow.

I'm pleased with Otago's win. They should hold it this coming weekend.

You's fellas and fellesses can have it for the rest of this season but come next year we Waikatoians want it back, OK.
Well done the South, bout time an all.

It would be nice if we still held it prior to the last game as that is Southland. Otago vs Southland for the shield would be epic!

:yawn:History repeats eh,look on the bright side boys Canterbury gets a challange so the shield will return to its rightful home.:motu:Otago supporters remind me of English rugby supporters in that during the long periods between winning anything they have never learnt to simply shuddup and concentrate on the next game rather than go nuts over yesterdays win.

Yep they will Jimmy,no doubt it will go something like "scientists have no doubt that for 2 hours in the next decade it will stop raining in Dunedin".Or "with global warming scientists are hopeful that there will indeed come a day that the ice pack in Dunedin harbour will melt".

They wouldn't anyway. Every man and his dog managed to get a photo with it. And did you read that completely over the top front page yesterday with the open letter from the proudest Dad in the country? I had to try hard not to vomit on it.

Went to Tony Browns Place (Stadium) yesterday. 20 000 crowd. Otago bit unlucky but was pleased to be there. Hope I don't have to wait another 56 yrs to 'party' again. :(
