Hi all,

My old man has a 07 Moto Guzzi Breva v1100 and when ever he starts it. Even in neutral he has the clutch in. Is it wirth doin it or is he just being another guy who does every little thing he can to make his eye-talian "go better".

Cheers

My GSXR wont start unless the clutch is in... there a little switch in there, quite possibly the same system(safety i spose)

Yep, the TL wont have a bar of it unless the clutch is in.

Yes.

That way it won't launch forward if it's actually in gear.

Wise man he is...NEVER trust a Guzzi gear box! (more false neutrals than gears!)

Also (yes I know I'm pedantic) by pulling the clutch lever in, you are technically disengaging the clutch, not engaging it.

You're welcome.

Although one should still apply the brake when starting just in case - clutch can 'stick' on some bikes as I found out.

Yup. Clutch in. Brakes on. Ear muffs, safety goggles, and the ever presemt hi viz vest!
Jeez, if you pushed it out side instead of riding it you prbably have all bases covered.

I find earplugs work better cos you can still wear a helmet. Although I haven't tried wearing the goggles under my visor, must do that.
