Needs to be 1 meter 1cm long. Any yamaha cable should fit it. Just need the length to be the same. If any of y'all that work at shops can check and see if you have one for me or someone has a number for me to call to check then that would be great. Allready tried the ones here and it's a no go. Waikato Yamaha has to send off to Japan for it but I'm hoping I can get one sooner than the 3-5 weeks they need for shipping.

Just a long shot. Go down to Pradlocks on the main st of Frankton and talk to them in there. They used to make them up for british stuff way back, or could point you in the rite direction too.

What street exactly? Gonna be in that area tomorrow anyway so could stop by and see what's to be seen.

Commerce Street. .. Another option is on Greenwood Street by MacDonalds there is a m/bike wrecker. He has stuff left from on XJ900 possibly including a speedocable. Just had a look in my parts, cause I replaced mine agers ago. but I must have biffed it sorry!!

John here are the pics for you. It's pretty much just what FROSTY said. The last pic is of the broken end. That end goes into the gear on the wheel.

Flyingpony, thanks but there isn't a speedo cable in the group. The one in there looks like a brake cable.

Well may have it sorted. The shop Warr suggested has my old one right now and they are gonna try and get a new inner in it for $20. They may have to do a new outer aswell, that will run about $40. Still that's alot cheaper than the Yamaha Shops $60. I'll get it back from them probably on tuesday but he told me to call them monday. Took me a while to find it as I forgot what corner it was on and the name of the shop.

Should have figured it would be called Speedo Shop, might have saved me a 15 minute walk around looking for the place.:violin:
