Ive been in Aussie for a few years and looking at bringing a couple of shackle dragging mates here for a two week tenure, riding and such. Looking at options as to the best way to go about securing some bikes to ride here. Probably do a club mx race somewhere and some trail (Desert storm / pumice blast or suchlike).

With regards options to get hold of a couple of bikes for the holiday could:

a. Bring ours over here for the holiday. May cost shitloads to freight.
b. Buy some secondhand bikes on a 'buy back' option from a dealer. Ie pay full price up front and then when its time to go back across the ditch the dealer buys the bikes back for a grand less or so. Obviously depends on no damage etc.
c. Hire a few bikes from someone for about $1K each for two weeks. The proviso 'you bend it, you mend it' applies.

The guys are good riders a mix of A,B and C grade mx. I have been bagging on about our terrain here and would like to show them a good time. They know how to ride and look after their machines.

Maybe a chance for someone to make a few grand over two weeks.

Ideas?

Bringing bikes over for two weeks would cost a lot. You also run the serious risk that customs may not release the bikes before you have to go home!
