Gotta say, the BSB coverage being shown at the moment on SKY is a lesson on how to present a series and sport as a whole. Theres more time spent in the pits discussing the riders, bikes and general gossip than covering the races themselves!
It creates a very " watchable show" and makes it appealing to even to the non bike racing viewers, which has got to be good.

It is a good show and provides some atmosphere. Time on the bike even for us riders is about 2% of what we actually do, it makes it more interesting if you get an insight into what we all do and who we are. If I have no one to watch at the race track its boring and I guess thats what its like for the general public. Need to get to know the riders....

Its a big task though, I think there was a private promoter that came into BSB with HEAPS of cash, ran at a loss for a few years but eventually turned it around. If we could find a group with the same passion in film making as we all have for bike racing we would be IN!

I tend to skip all the pre race stuff, what draws me to BSB is the tracks they race on, the likes of Cadwell park is absolutely awe inspiring. I really like how the POMS seem to just chuck some tarmac down over what ever is there!

Sky may have fallen short on Moto gp, but you certainly cant complain of the BSB coverage.
Yup, those tracks are up there too, the commentators are bloody good explaining the basics to those that
may not know quite how things work. Getting used to Whitham now.:2thumbsup

Yes bud , great isnt it. and you're quite right, it may just pull in non biking people the way it's presented.

ps GW, Missed that house, it was withdrawn.
Will pop back on the market in Summer, and try again.

Im struggling with Mr Witham still arrgh, but as a whole the BSB is a great package.
Cadwell was boring i thought , mainly a train going round but did enjoy Josh Brookes efforts !

Yeah, totally agree, you are engaged by the characters and personalities as much as the racing which also just happens to be great. Bike Racing is about more than laptimes and laptops and BSB have captured that perfectly (to me anyway).

Agree totally, I couldn't believe it when it showed them getting airbourne going up the hill at Cadwell Park, the comentator suggested they may have let loose a drunk driver with a paving machine to lay out the track originally.

They do do it really well - some of the brittish GP coverage/programs do the same WRT the build up coverage - that just never makes it down to us. I download all my racing so sometimes you can choose which broadcaster you watch which is good.

Great racing again. The whole Tele coverage is so professional.
Classes selected give a bit of everything.
Lowes loses points in the second leg after shunting Shakey up the bum at high speed.
Hope he recovers to fight in the two remaining rounds.

Love it,so competitive in every class.

Great racing alright but I'm really not liking Lowes: a few weeks back I watched him run James Ellison off the track at some crazy speed and I thought "Shit, ugly incident bet he won't do that again" only to see him repeat the move on Brookes not long after. Brookes hung tough and Lowes pulled out of it but a cunty moves both times. I've Lost a lot of respect for the lil' fucker

Lowes reminds me of a young Spaniard who has taken over the #27 Honda ride. Cocky and talented - but makes mistakes.

Seems: <a href=http://www.crash.net/british+superbikes/news/196098/1/lowes_sorry_byrne_were_still_cool.html> He and Shakey are "still cool".</A>

I love fast corners but those boys show it can end in tears quite easily.
Both Lowes might be the future for Britain ???

Yep, not a bad comparison I reckon. Lowes, like Marquez is so farkin' fast at such a young age, and no telling where he'll end up as he's still on the steep part of the learning curve. Still don't like him though, haha.

But I was wrong - now the Spaniard doesn't make mistakes.
