Hey mate,

I'm from aus and was going through a thread from 08. Seems you may be the only one I can find about an issue I'm having with an 89 gsf 250 bandit.

These bikes don't have alternators do they? They've got a regulator rectifier.

Where in the bike is it, and how can I tell if it's stuffed. The battery was new and lasted two days.

Even my mechanic doesn't know.

So mate, if you can. Plz let me know.

Cheers,

Pete

I have a '91 model.

Have a read of chapter 6-5 of the manual for the GSX250F which I've shared below (this used the same engine & other bits as the GSF). The GSF250 doesn't have an English workshop manual. Failing that in the same shared folder is a heap of other stuff you could look at.

I have also included the GSF400 manual as a lot of the chassis stuff is similar.

Hope this helps.
