Surprised this hasnt been talked about yet. New 899 to replace (I believe) the 848 EVO.

Im excited about it, looks great imo and is more appealing to me than Duc's bigger 1199 Pani. Be interesting to see how it stacks up against the MV F3 800, another bike Im watching closely.

looks stunning, and more approachable for the casual rider than say the Panigale.
Still don't think it would be the best choice of commuter somehow...

As long as your don't mind not being able to turn you head to see behind you, liked clunking along in 1st and 2nd gear, and having
your wrists aching for the whole trip it would be fine....well thats how I found my SS when I used to commute on it.:msn-wink:

They're just so fucking ugly. The 1098 was bland, but at least their was some beauty in its simplicity. It's weird how the 848 was so pretty in white, and this just looks plain wrong. I still want to bang that chassis every which way though. Just doesn't seem to make sense, buying a bike like that stripped back and parts replaced with lesser models, the premier model isn't that expensive. I wonder why the front subframe is aluminum and not some sort of FRP product (yet?). I wonder how much power it'll make? Wonder what the torque curve is like? The red wheels need to go... fuck it the whole thing looks like arse... definitely the red one for the win. 2 year unlimited mile warranty, bonus. Loving the weight. Do like.

My first thought was "wow, a 900, everyone else is making thou's now..." but they call it a Supermid...
193 kg wet, not too dissimilar to the old school 900cc sportbikes, just a bit more power (as is to be expected with newer technology).
I'm not convinced... at least it looks the part though!

An SS is so far removed from a Panigale it's irrelevant. Might as well compare a GS1000 with a GSXR1000.

I'm not a fan of the weird nose...
The 1199 did go like a rocket however, as did the 848, perhaps this thing could be pretty cool? JUST THAT NOSE... :(
