Help / guidance needed please. I posted a thread on this subject just a few weeks ago & for the luv of internal combustion engines I've searched & I can't find that f@#$er of a thread now on this Forum !.....or any means to find it here either......... drrrrrrr.
Overview..........(Blue Blooded -bike crazed ) Englishman who's not called Muhumid ....is coming over in 4 months time to ride your fine land (mainly ...the South island & I can't wait ) this with a view to possibly emigrating there ....& leaving Australia for good after 20 years ...you lot can av it - because it sucks !!!! Trouble is in Oz i only have 2 of my 12 demerit points left ,so I'm sailing close to the wind ! Should I get busted there by NZ's 'FINEST :Police:' ..... venue collectors well ,will the attached demerit penalty apply in Oz when I return ? if so that could/would put a bit of a damper on my Kiwi experience aye !
You see you don't have to be a Rev Headed Hoon In Australia to loose your license (you just have to have a license & they'll do the rest :nono: ) it's almost a crime to walk on the cracks of the pavement here now.........unless your an umemployed, left handed , disabled , gay, Dwarf ! in which case..... for just $200-00 you,ll get a 3 month exemption permit for use on Sunday evenings only !
Now I hope i don't come accross to cynically...... as I'd hate to upset any one !
Ah yeh, I hear you asking why don't you ask these questions here in Australia ? Because the $ fee to ask here .....would likely bankrupt a 3rd World Country & I'd likely KILL the Bastard that answered anyway :msn-wink:
Cheers, Johny Brando.

Don't think that demerit points are tranferable between countries but have a look here

I lived in Australia for 5 years an never got a ticket of any kind, car, truck, bike,,,nada.
So seeing as how your such a great driver/rider over there,I'd bring plenty of money because you won't get out of the country if you collect any fines here and think you can run out on them when you leave, because they will stop you at the airport.
As for international licence or Aussie licence,,I'm pretty sure your ok there.

And Aussie sucks,NZ doesn't,,,you might be in for a supprise there mate, you can't run away from yourself no matter where you go.

If your a fuck up there, you will be here as well.

If you pick a ticket and get points, they will stay here in NZ.
You can drive here on an Oz licence, for a short time.
You will have a pseudo NZ licence linked to you to keep track of your driving history
should you get fined / suspended etc..

for every 50$ you spend you get a few points. Once you have enough, you cash em in for a set of steak knives.

As in slow the law down? Sounds like an interesting plan.
