G'day, is there any need to re-balance the wheel if the tyre has been flipped (turned over, in order to achieve even wear)? Don't have the means to do it at home and don't want to take a trip to the shop if not neccessary.

Cheers

CheersYou don't have a couple of axle stands, or something similar at home?

Yeah, if you are gonna bother to get them balanced when fitted normally, then you will want to re do it when you flip the tyre.

It would be best to re-balance if you flip it. If the shop is doing it dynamically it will make a difference...It also might be worth balancing the rims as most modern tyres will be very close to correct balance wise.

In saying that, a cheap static balancer might be a good investment if you have the means to change tyres at home, its a quick and easy enough job with some patience (I can do it, so most people with at least one opposing thumb should be fine too).
