Woah Ho, go the fatties. He he I'm one of em. Anyhow, come on you lot come ride for the girls. This event is too important to be allowed to fade away.
My wife and I in company with the FBMC have ridden to support WIMA and their Pink Ribbon Ride for the past few years.
Always been great fun and the opportunity to give em some moral and financial support is Gold.
Climb aboard, kick her in the guts Trev ans ride for Pink Ribbon!

I have posted this in the ladies section.... chucking here as well

Just a heads up to the Pink Ribbon is on this Sunday

http://www.wima.org.nz/pages/Pink_Ribbon.php

It was put off due to lack of support but a few of the Fat Bikers have stepped up to help out so the ride is on and all go, We would prefer to be just part of the ride but if being a marshal keeps this ride going so be it. We had a great turn out for bikers in blue for the "Men's issues" now its time to support the Ladies

so it would be great to see plenty people out there to support the cause

The weather is looking good for Sunday

i'd post a link to a map but i'm not quite that good at it yet...i'll give it a crack...it's also known as the autobahn, right at the top of the bombays....if you're coming from the city you'll take the bombay off ramp and turn right at the intersection and you'll see the BP in front of you on the left hand side of the road...you can't miss it unless you're my wife...lol

Theres 3 of us definitely confirmed from Hams - (hopefully more will come) We will be leaving 8.00am so will stop at BP Bombay approx 9.00?? for a break - if you do meet there keep an eye out for us - most recognisable bike would be my GB400 -

just confirmed it is on mill road...

Mill road BP is in Mount Wellington - thought we were meeting Big petrol station on western side top of the Bombay hills?????

Which means if it is top of bombays and we get away on time be there just before 9.00. Pink Ribbon Ride doesnt start til 10.30 and apart from leathal (whose doing the business) getting there 9.45ish - 10.00ish should be fine. How long does it take from top of bombays to the netball courts and do you know the way - if so cool - if not we will be mapping it!!

As long as I get together Saturday for the pre ride I dont need to be super early.... but I would still be a little early, 9:00 gathering at the netball courts but the ride leaves 10:30. There is riffle tickets etc so its good to be a little earlyer than the ride leave time.

I will probably leave 8:30-:45 but I will update that after touching base tomorrow as I might be able to leave a little later if enough is already sorted in which I may be able to lead to the ride for those that dont know where it is.

Metvuw forecast is still OK with Saturday weather clearing overnight allthough if it rains I will take the blaim as I washed my bike..... it often rains first outing after being washed

i've tried to post a map link...this is for the bp on mill road at the top of the bombay hills...from there it's probably a good 40 minutes (i think...mr.leathal can you confirm the approx ride time from the hill down to the netball courts???)
i think you may be right...best be early rather than late...so closer to 8:30 would be betterer...

Even if it did take 40 mins from Bombay to courts - why would you want to be at courts at 9.10 am (if you left Bombay at 8.30) when the ride starts at 10.30??? Are you on organising comm like Mr leathal?? If so - As you were

we will stop in anyway so if we see ya see ya

So I will leave BP with the rest about 9, I should be there earlier than 9.... still have to sort a few other bikes out, only just got back from town..... next time the daughter wants a singers autograph the answer is NO! Awesome day ...weather was a cracker, all went to plan, so happy the Roads Rats, Fat Bikers and IAM (members of those 3 overlap a fair amount) were able to lend a hand to the ladies and keep this ride alive and what a success it has been, brilliant. I was lucky to be on one of the first spots so didn't miss much of the ride :D

topped the day by heading to Riverhead after it to watch Back Dog play the blues them home Via Friends... cracker of a day!

Some left just after I arrived that I didn't get to see who they were and ID bikes (I didn't pay attention while I fueled up and paid....and helmets were on just after I left the building), I assumed it was you.... I should have known better than to assume....

A couple of pics taken with the cell..... My wife took a few (several hundred) with the camera so will download and sort those at some stage (Mostly from our marshal point)
