Yep can remember that game, was in india and we were far from full strength. Think it was in 99 or 2000.

Game was good, who cares if it was a thrashing, was good to watch, very high in entertainment value. Great for getting players like vincent, oram and bond back into the swing of international cricket. Should be a good game on friday, we should win, india is fairly understrength (no tendulkar) and hasn't played for a month or 2.

Personally, I think that this series has highlighted the plight of a number of cricketing nations. It is not only Zimbawe facing the wrath of more developed teams, but Bangladesh also. It is sad to say the least as the Flower brothers used to add an element of compettion (unityl the white players strike). It is interesting that the ICC has set future tours of Zimbawe in stone until at least 2011!! I have a feeling that the more countires such as Aussies, NZ and England continue to gloat at how much we thrashed Zimbabwe we may not see them or Bangladesh for that matter, as a test nation in 10 years. Then how many countries will we play, doesn't leave many!!

That's a bit hypocritical from the Aussie press, given the huge level of excitement they attach to the Commonwealth Games -- a four-yearly event where Australia gets to show off against the third world...

I agree Hitcher, I don't think they shoud be dropped to a world league, I think the ICC need to gets its act together and organise some funding for these nations otherwise it will be the tri nations for ever!! Look how much money Aussie throw at its sports people and it is going to be worth sweet F**K all if there is noone else to play.

The poms have matched it in the cricket and are reaping - but getting flogged by 200 hundy can't be good for the game's popularity in the home countries.

well one things for sure, it wasnt cricket...

Its a tough one. This is actually the strongest Zimbabwe side since the last world cup, with Streak and Wishart back (although Streak is far from his best form).

The comment re: unfairly improving players stats has been round for sometime - started in the 1940's and 50's when sides played NZ... (did someone say all out for 26)
