We'll that is the shits. The break in the smaller circle is I think your scaphoid. I broke mine doing motorbike stuff 20 years ago, had it pinned and it is still shit and will always be. Better luck to your recovery.

Nah, thats the top of the ulna in the little circle. Scaphoid is a kinda funny bean shaped bone in the middle of the wrist above that.
Didn't appear to have fractured mine, but tore the scapho-lunate ligament a few years back. Given me no end of trouble since!

A mate raced speedway over in England, on race he went down on the back straight, his arm was sucked up between the rear mudguard and the tire, pulled the other rider down with him. Broken wrist. He cut his cast off and raced again a couple weeks later.

Another way of looking at it is:
VERY LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes you can not control what other riders are doing around you. Sometimes they make mistakes....
Sometimes it ends up pretty badly..... I guess that is motorcycle racing...

In this case there was a wheel doing about 200 km/hr right where Chappys hand was heading....
Lucky for Neil his arm didn't go through it, just over it.....

To be clear it was NOT Neil's fault that he crashed into somebody. I will leave it at that as it could get heated......

"So..... when are you going to move up to a class where they can ride properly???"

Sucks when questions like that come back to bit you...

Rest up mate...

Shit! what happened?

As Neil said, "Racing Incident".

Neil was heading up Denny Hulme Straight on the ZX650R and he got over taken by a 600 F2 Bike.
Just after the bike passed him it proceded to pull in front of him and then hit the picks for Higgins..... Of course Neils braking marker is about 50 metres up the track....
Not to worry the 600 actuated Neils Brake Lever for him..............

The rest is history as they say... including the ZX650R's fairing by the look of it!

Man that sucks. Would a brake lever guard have helped or just meant that he would have hit the 600 at a faster speed!?

Na wasn't the lever that hit, was my pipe hitting his swing arm

The good folk at California Superbike School would be able to learn you how to avoid such situations.
Maybe you can buy a couple of VMCC raffle tickets and get on one of the courses?

If the instructor does not have a cast on his arm I might be keen, :dodge:
