Just wondering if anyone knows what's going on with that place? Facebook page has been deactivated, phones just goes to answerphone and no response to txt messages to the mobile.

Was hoping to go riding with a few mates who don't have bikes but it looks like that's out of the question now. Not driving all the way there to find out the place isn't hiring anymore etc.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I know Nick is now not running the bike park, and James is trying to sell the farm again, can not confirm if its open or not, James is not really a text kind of guy from when i delt with him, if he does not return messages then I presume he is not opening,

Moto X Central (the old kimmys farm) has an up to date facebook, saying the enduro loop should be open next weekend,

more clay based, more formed track, and not as many paddocks, its not an operating farm like thundercross was so the tracks tend to be a bit better maintained, with out stock on them etc,

Only place I know that hires bikes now is The Sandpit at Woodhill, I'm a big fan of the place (despite all those nasty trees) but realise there are some that don't get riding in sand.
Huge amount of varied riding available!

Are they still going? Looking for somewhere to ride after the new year.

Was going to head to Motox central but they seem to have gone.

Don't bother with the drive mate. Went down few weeks ago, Moto x track is so over grown it's not funny. Loops are a bit better as people still ride them but doesn't get looked after like it used to.

Father and son had a bit of a disagreement and son has stopped helping out around the place and he was the one who was making all the changes and looking after the loops and track.

Cheers, Shame is it was a good place to go. Along with that and Kimmys closing there is not much to go to now.

Nope, have to start driving further and further out of Auckland now to have a good ride.

Dome valley can be a bit of fun if you liked places like kimmys and thunder x.

Nope, there are trails too, they are good fun. Just become really slippery after some rain.

Oh now that I didnt know. Are they decent trails? Do you have to be a member of a club?

Yep they are pretty decent, nice change from kimmys and thunder x. Not a huge amount though but enough to be fun every now and again.

Don't have to be a member just pay slight more, think it's $30 for a day and $20 if you are a member.

Mint, Thanks. I may even sneek onto the MX track and embarrass myself.

Definitely give the mx track a go if you are up. It's very easy I ride, now massive jumps or doubles that need clearing can ride over all of them. You will enjoy it, might even catch the bug 😉

Love to have a go but really dont want to get in the way of a good rider and cause a crash.

Havnt ridden for over a year but might go to seeing as how Thunder is bad (although still good for taking the girlfriend as a learner).
Do you get to it through Forestry Road?? And is there someone there to take your entry dollars?

Never worry about that, if they are good riders they will be able to pass with no issues. The MX track at Dome is wide open, the one at Thunder Park is narrower with a tight right hander after a decent downhill... be prepared lol.

There's been a lot of work done to the mx track, and was looking sweet a few weeks ago, all jumps refaced and track widened, still nothing to scary depending on how fast you hit it, definately worth a visit
