Does nothing for me at all :(

Another Cherman bike - but at least this one is a little less ugly than most

Retro bikes are for posers. If you want an old styled bike get an old bike.:innocent:

Stirrer ........

Shit brakes, crap power, bendy frames, crap rubber ......... ah the 70's 7 80's ..............

I have fond memories of some classic Jap rides - GSX1100 slab tank, square headlight Suzi - huge 120 rear tyre ........
Shaft drive 650 Katana ....... Katana my arse
Z1000 - the silver/blue one with the bikini fairing .....

All friends bikes, me wanted and lusted after the Kawa.

Bet if I rode one today I'd step off it and have to change my undies.

Yes.
I had a Z1000J, other than the power I have no great memories of it.

The Darmah the followed it was way better.

As for crap brakes, bendy frames, crap rubber, I'll ponder it as I take the BMW R90 round HD next weekend

Still If I could only have one bike....... I'd probably just stick with the mid 70's BMW 900.

Depends, I'm never going to restore a bike again, just maintain them. I'm riding two bikes to work every day on my 50km loop, a 1976 BMW R90 and a Ducati ST4s.
BMW is good as I can put the laptop in the panniers, the Ducati says bugger work lets go to Raglan.....
Its got panniers too, so I like 'Baggers", be fun to take the Ducati Bagger around HD on a track day ....
Also good for taking bits to the shop.
So you going to be Matchless or Jawa next weekend?

Yep, no need to restore them when they've been looked after like Voltaire's 90/6. You've seen my R90S and how some fuckwit could let it get to that stage of rootedness is beyond me :tugger:
