Hey everyone.
I'm an Auckland commuter and I'm interested in buying a zippy little scooter. All the reviews are telling me to go for a Yamaha Jog.
That being said, how much do I pay? Where can I find one? Trade Me only showing 1 result??
Cheers

Hi there, so you are basically me a week ago! Last week i bought a second hand 2010 Yamaha jog cv50 for $1300 (listed for 1400).
Specs of this specific bike were rego till January 2014, 5800kms, rear lockbox (that doesn't lock for some reason), helmet, high vis and gloves included.
So i've had the jog for a few days now and so far, no issues besides said lockbox (not a fault of the bike). She is nippy, gets to 60 easy enough and 50 on a steepish hill with 75kgs on it. The build quality of the bike is ok, a little bit of surface rust is to be expected but nothing major. A friend of mine also has a jog with higher ks, runs brilliantly and I don't think there is any power loss.

Is that a good price? Are you satisfied with your purchase?
I'm looking on Trade Me, but really keen to find one with under 6,000 km's if possible. Does your scooter fit 2 people on it?

Judging by the other Jogs on trademe at the moment, yeah it was a good price. So far I've been very satisfied with it, they are great little machines. A jog will not carry two medium-large (i.e in excess of 65kgs per person, 5ft 8") people comfortably, the seat is just too small and it would struggle going up hills.
