Hi all - the girlfriend has started learning to ride (road bike), but we're struggling to find any gloves that will fit as she has tiny gypsy hands.
Can anyone recommend where to find some decent leather gloves for small hands?? I'm guessing we'll face the same problem when we start looking for boots too. Has anyone gotten their kids some road gear?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Shiny side up.
Blake.

Best to post a picture of your girlfriend in her underwear so we can get a realistic idea of her physique thus allowing us to make a educated call on riding gear recommendations.
Oh - no need to thank me I'll be here all night offering helpful advise.

What's her hand circumference measured around the middle of the hand?

I had trouble finding gloves, but Revit XS Ladies gloves work for me. And someone pointed me to the BMW bike store in Auckland to look for tiny gloves, but I haven't been there, yet. Never try XS men's gloves, they will always be much too big.
What size boots does she need?
If she also has a small head, HJC does a youth helmet, the CL Y, which has smaller sizes, is lighter and has a smaller shell size, too, which makes checking out blind spots much easier. AGV does XXS helmets, but not sure if you can get them in NZ. Please let me know if you find one. Shoei and Schuberth do helmets in smaller sizes, too.

Hey, I had the same trouble finding gloves for our son. There is a brand of motorcycle road gear called Buffalo which does a kids line (jackets, trousers, gloves) and they are sold in NZ through an outfit called Action Accessories (http://www.trademe.co.nz/stores/action-accessories/contact) in Foxton. Last I checked they didn't have the gloves, but I did find them online (ebay I think). From memory the gloves are called 'Tracker'.

Having ' really small ' girlfriends can be frowned on by certain parts of society.

Just a note when doing research (I think it's sorta been touched on). Helmets are usually made in 3 odd shell sizes, then padded down/up to each size.
If it suits, a youth helmet is probably going to be a better bet, as the shell will be smaller than a normal sized one - and then again, some of the small sizes use the same shell as youth, so it will vary from brand to brand.
