Nooooo. That's the Grand Challenge (North Island).

The Chatto Creek starts from Chatto Creek (funny that) just up the road to Omakau from Alexandra (South Island).

Jantar should be able to provide contact details. If he misses this, PM him.

One year I would love to do a Chatto Creek.

The Chatto creek club has a meeting on the 6th September. Entry forms should be available from then on. I'll see if I can post one on this site. :2thumbsup

I'm a member of the Chatto Creek Club, and like most members I get to man a check point rather than ride the event. This year is the 10th one, and may be something a little different. :yes:

The Chatto Creek 1000 miler is being held this year on the weekend of 26th - 27th November. It starts at the Chatto Creek Tavern at midday Saturday, and finishes 24 hrs later. A BBQ meal will follow.

The organiser, Pete Jones, wasn't at Tuesday's meeting, so I haven't yet got an entry form to post on here, however I will put one up as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, this weekend is our annual run to Bruce Bay. Departing Chatto Creek at 10:00 am Saturday, Cromwell at 10:30, and Hawea turnoff at 11:00. Lunch at Haast at 1:30 pm.
