I desperately need a set of wheels, it's actually going to kill me if I can't get on a bike by the end of the year. Any spectacular deals going for around the $5k mark? Budget is still tight due to Mortgage, renovations and small mouths to feed. Was looking for a halfway decent SV1000, but can't find anything I like under $6.5k. Maybe i'm being picky....

Preferably Sports/tourer style, 600cc or over.

What I would give to have my Streety back.

Were you gone? So why no bike for so long? You're talking a huge budget. 5k bought my tricked out YZF750SP with $$ suspension etc & that would run rings around a skoady SVthou.

But on a sensible budget you can't move for VTRthous on TM for $4995. Won't set your pants on fire, but a mates had one for a decade & it does everything you want including floating wheelies.

That's a bit mean. I rode a mates & (after I fought to get it off the sidestand using every fibre of my might, as it was slightly leant on the camber of the road) I pulled into the next gas station as the tires were clearly flat. Except that they weren't & looked new. I'd have to rank it as the worst handling bike I've ever ridden this side of a CX500 custom with knackered everything.
So I guess I'm a bit mean too.
