There is a dude down Haswell Junction that does an awesome job (and price) for custom cables etc. Can't quite remember his name though :doh: It's 'Diggers' and something I think. Someone else on here will know it surely.
When heading towards Haswell he is on the left a bit past the Chep pallet place, just to be real vague like haha

When I were a lad the accepted method of getting clutch and brake cables was to make your own. Don't bike shops sell inner stranded wire and outer sheath off the reel, plus the ferrules, nipples and so on any more?

thats what I have always done.... But every thing I need is 300km away from me...
I'm getting a bit peed off... with all my gear so far away... mig / tig / plasma / lathe / mill etc..and the list just goes on & on

Why would you need to mig, tig, plasma, lathe or mill a cable?
(I know, it's turn, but you get the gist (as opposed to GST.))

I found a place on line based in Chch called Pyramid parts. Stacks of cables by make/model and random. $30 over night delivery. Google. Awesome service.
