Hi Guys, it's been suggested that I get on here and let people know about what I do....

I am importing motorcycle parts, both new and used, cosmetic and performance. I am a one man show and handle your inquiries personally. I will find the parts you are after and give you as many options as possible, not just what 'I stock'. I am in contact with a lot of US and UK wreckers and performance parts suppliers so all you need to do is let me know what you are looking for and I will track it down. You can get a few ideas of things I regularly get in from my Trademe listings under username sportsbikenz or have a look at my site, which has contact facilities too www.storminbikes.co.nz Just ask about anything, doesn't hurt and doesn't take much time. I don't have shop and employee overheads so don't have to make big mark-ups on parts to survive, just enough to keep me going while at Uni and get me in beer. Discounts on orders of more than one part too as i don't need to add something to every part. Anyway, have a look and hopefully I can help some of you out. Thank, Norm.

250 stuff can be tricky to get as not all the international markets have/had 250s. Do you have the part number(s) at all? Thanks, Norm.

Out of interest do you ever get complete bikes? One day in the future we could be looking for a Hornet 600, 98 to early 2k version.

First of all... Thanks for the welcome for a new member. I really hope all users enjoy placing pointless sarcastic messages that have nothing to do with them! See, I can be sarcastic too. Secondly, if you read the post he put about the part he is looking for there has already been one reply where the part was misunderstood by the guy who answered him. I do not see any fault in trying to get as much information as possible to correctly identify and supply a part that someone is in need of and does not want to wait and then get the wrong part. Again, thank you and I hope we don't need to correspond again. I prefer to deal with polite and productive people who i may be able to help. Norm.

Im after a drag seat for a 2013 zx14r or a second hand stock one I can cut and repack. my version is euro so I have a grab handle unlike the American versions but the oem seat is the same. So an aftermarket drag seat the doesn't click on wont work.

Cool project though - and something like this has been on my mind recently. Will bookmark the thread.

So for the used factory option, will a US model factory seat until work for you to modify? Norm.

Yes but a custom made aftermarket glass drag tail wouldn't.
The seat is the same but euro has a grab rail and US has a flat panel instead.

I want one of these but for 2012-2013 model. Im going to cut most of the foam out of the front seat then recover it after. Will need be affordable as its only going to get used a few times a year. Its possible the earlier seats also fit but I haven't researched it at all yet.

Ill call tomorrow after work if im home early enough.

What year is the bike? Early ones are pretty impossible to get them for, but are available for later models. Thanks, Norm.

Best bet would be contact Dold Industries at www.dold.co.nz and see what they have. I think they stock the different uprights and will make up the specific L bracket for the GSF250 mounting. I'd give them a call to verify it is all available. Good luck. Thanks, Norm.

Are you a registered company ?

What warranty do you offer on parts?

No, just a one man gang doing something to get through Uni. Warranty is basically what I would expect myself, wrong parts supplied, failure within any acceptable time period etc. I have never had any issues as far as warranty goes. I will take a loss rather than have a buyer lose out on something which is not their fault. I give a 'decent bloke' guarantee.

So you are declaring and filing proper tax returns just like regular main street shops ?

What watertight guarantees do you have in place to ensure that none of the parts that you source havent been stolen?

No, my questions are totally fair. If you operate commercially you have to play by the same rules that those of us who have more regular and professional operations play by. For example we pay tax, you pay tax and so on and so on.

So Im still awaiting answers to my last two questions...............
