I'm thinking on doing little river trail ride on banks peninsula this wkend. But I've never done one before. Is it just a matter of turning up on the morning? And do you require a registration form? What way do you pay?
Any info would be great

They are not talking about the Rail Trail cycle track cassina, they are talking about a fund raising motorcycle event up the Western Valley Road, a long way from the cycle trail.... click for flyer (http://www.myrides.co.nz/content.asp?syscmd=dl&ID=A615D69BED654483804CF8D94637CC51).
Take cash to pay with, never seen an eftpos machine at any of these events.
There will be a sign on desk somewhere where you read the rules, sign the form and pay the money.
Then as Pete said they usually give you a sticker for your bike
or sometimes a wrist band depending upon who's running it.
Then at the start of the course some just let you go, some check for spark arresters and some sign you on and off the course to keep track of everyone so they know everyone is accounted for at the end of the day.
Enter the track at will as many times as you want until it closes about 4pm by the look of it this time.
I was going to go but I'm overnight ADVing now instead.

I will be at the ride.
I just noticed that the indemnity form and rules state you need a fire extinguisher. Its on myrides.
I rang the organiser and he clarified that this is a mistake, you do NOT need one. You do need the usual spark arrestor.
