Hi

Looking to get some specific fuses and bits and bobs, but all the repcos and suchlike all seem to be closed at 5.30 on weekdays. Does anyone know of any open later?

Cheers

I tried and failed to find a 16mm 10amp micro glass fuse at short notice on the interweb.. and in repco.. I just bought a new fuse holder instead...

Some gas stations carry that sort of stuff as well. Bit hit and miss but there are so many and they are usually close anyway.

Don't write off the warehouse. Their automotive section has improved ALOT over the years. They carry quite alot of shit now, most of it no longer "poverty pack"
They have saved me a few times. Last time being when I shit a powersteering cooler in their carpark and sent oil flying everywhere from a broken hose.

The original question was about motor parts available after 5.30pm, which was addressed.

I'm not sure why you came up with the past 7pm scenario.

Tell all your friends how terrible it is here! We wouldn't want any of them wasting their time coming over.

Enjoying threatening that webcam with your toy gun :)

Coming from Mr. and Mrs. been nowhere and done nothing I read it in the Herald...The states is definitely a lovely place to visit, the people are very friendly, and everything is so cheap. Of course, the two men who watched me over as I completed my passport check were carrying AR15 based assault rifles, and the guy herding foot traffic out the front was carrying some sort of MP5 derivative. The policeman who bundled up the homeless fella on Katella Drive had some sort of pistol too.

Lovely place to visit. Would even consider a 6 month stint working there as my industry doesn't work in the shitty parts of towns. But yeah, long term, you can keep it.

Fair comments from someone that is informed. You forgot to mention that most if not all auto parts stores over here are open much later than 5.30pm...:yes::yes:

Well it used to be the garages all called fuse stuff & all sorts, but that got pushed aside to make more room for chocolate bars and chillers full of energy drinks. Obviously we don't have the population to support it so you just have to be prepared or show some keewee enginuitty & jam some rolled up ciggy packet foil paper across the terminals:shutup: (heck I dunno if ciggys still have that stuff).

btw Jase visited the place, just hasn't come back home yet, - he's just thowin shit like we used to give him for being a Dorklander

I dare say cars have become reliable enough now that keeping auto parts in service stations simply became unprofitable. Most still seem to have bulbs and fuses though.
