Hey all

I've been riding for a few months now so I'm getting to the point where I am quite happy with all the basics of what to check everyday, but I would like to start to get to grips with everything in a more detailed way. A bit like knowing the function of parts and how to adjust or do maintenence such as oil changes etc. I've seen manuals sayng how to do it, but I'm a bit more of a prcatical person and would actually try doing it (and have someone around that actually knows what they are doing for something goes wrong!)

So any suggestions of where I could start?

Try the net for maintenance tasks, I'm sure you'll find stuff for your make and model.

Oil and filter is probably one of the more simple/easier maintenance tasks you could do (aside from the day to day stuff). Just take your time and work methodically and much can't go wrong.

This maybe won't be so relevant for day to day maintenance, but a quick tip for when you start to do bigger jobs:

Take pictures as you dismantle stuff. Then you can refer to them during assembly, rather than trying to remember.
