Hello there internet,

I have recently got my hands on a Yamaha xvs650 with the intention of turning it into a bobber.

The question that I have is, what are the guidelines with relocation of the tail light?

The only thing i want on my rear fender is the licence plate. Therefore I would like to have two break lights located just below and behind the seat. Are there any rules/regulations that stipulates the exact location of the tail light?

Also what is the smallest size indicators that you can use legally in NZ?

I have had a look at this thread so I know this much.

Blue collar bobbers do some kits that I would assume is legal for NZ.

Click the other sections for those rules. That document is what the inspectors go by for WOFs
