Thanks to a cager??? (WGTN)

I had the day off. I was going to head to the Rimutakas at about 9am and was gassing up at a service station (old Hutt road) when I noticed my recently remounted number plate (as a result of removing the super-ugly rear-mudguard) had hit the tired and folded itself and the rego plate under and along the top of the tire. Had a go at 're-aligning' the plate and headed out on the 70km-100km stretch before the motorway.

Was tootling along and noticed a scrapping sound, pulled up and found the plate had re-offended and this time the rego-card and clear plastic thingie had departed. Went for a walk and found the rego thing 200m down the road. Anyway, long story short (sorry guys), a young lady pulled up (in a cage) behind my bike and was walking down towards me looking to help out. Described my predicament and subsequent discovery thanked her and she went on her merry way. She was pretty cute actually ;). Anyhoo, since our culture is to slag off the cagers I thought it reasonable to complement them too....esp if they are cute.

Rest of day spent at work (dammit) fashioning new bracket that (hopefully) holds the plate out of wheels way. Sunday Taka riders can critique.

I solved that problem on mine with the minor tweaking of two bolts, but don't know if you'd get away with it for long on a 250.

Tch No initiative, youff today. If she was cute, you ought'a told her that you had just narrowly avoided a major accident, when an animal of some sort ran out and almost hit your rear wheel. And, although injured yourself, you were walking back, to recover the bits of bike that were knocked off in the smash, and, more importantly , to see if the poor wee animal is alright, because you THINK you managed to swerve and avoid it (at the expense of banging yourself up), but you can't be sure , and you do SO love little animals. And you're actually feeling a bit faint all of a sudden, can I take your arm for support just for a moment ... Take it from there , lloyd. :violin: :sherlock:

lies stu, last time i saw u was a couple fridays ago, i was with lucan, peter, jared, elmo, down there for his 21st, then we hit hanmer for couple nights, saw u driving a big lame cage ! i shook my head and sighed :P!, ( Alot of dealers around COKERS backpackers ) pity i didnt have time to gawk at too many bikes ;(

What is it with damn Number plates... my one was almost torn apart by my L plate, when i went to take the L plate of, i fount that the wind had bent the whole lot and there was a crack going most ways down the number plate. Bit of mucking around and now she is as good as new, and the L plate has been punished:
