Okay its done...finally...hand in on tues at beginning of class, and cos I am hopefully looking at a couple of bikes this weekend,if theres anything wrong with it I DONT WANNA KNOW!!!

The brief was basically like this:
8-12 pages (depending on how damn good you are :Punk: ), B&W, any topic of your choice, had to have 1 1/2 page advert with a pic you took yourself.
So I had to source everything, but dont be too hard on me for what is in it :nono:

I've saved it as a pdf file but being 12 pages it is about 2.4 mbs to download

Thanks to all those who contributed, hopefully I have acknowledged everyone?

Hopefully my tutors like it too...

Way to go, Rashika! Excellent.

And thanks for posting it on here. If I were grading it, I'd give full marks (I refuse to admit any bias owing to subject matter).

It looks truly professional - layout etc. You've put your own particular "stamp" on it - like using lowercase characters in the section titles etc. Nice use of pictures and "empty" space to balance the text, too.

They should do - it is clear and easy to read, not as cluttered as some of the professional mags. Aesthetically pleasing.

BTW, glad you went with "Uncaged" as a title.

If I were to see a mag of that title on the stands, I would buy it - it has a "by bikers for bikers" feel about it and hints of a certain rebelliousness and "wildness".

Loved the way you put Dangerous' handle on the cover - for those of us on KB it's an instant indication of the content.

I would like to see a next month's edition. Rashika, you may have inadvertently got yourself into something, here...

Too bad the tutors don't take public submissions - we could send reviews of the mag to them.

Anyway, if they don't like it, to paraphrase: "Damn the tutors, let my public decide!"

I'd luv to do another edition, but got other briefs to do...exciting stuff like a banner...bleh...then a childrens books...damn i cant draw for shit!
we get to start on freehand next which of course I know inside out as I use it at work all day, so will have to find something else to occupy my time

hmmm.......might have to send the tutors along to the site before they mark it :)

Best to send them after they've marked it. Wouldnt want them finding all "your" work now, would we? :nono:

Bloody brilliant. I especially enjoyed the worlds fastest indian story. They tell me there making that into a movie now.. well done!
Its people like Munroe that typify New Zealanders, you know the number 8 wire part of us. I wonder if his spirit slipped away in 1977 and found a new soul to occupy in Christchurch... namely Mr Britten. I wonder who will have that gift next?

The movie will be here within the next 2 months apparently.
Its funny what you find out when doing research for stuff like this.
Dangerous put me onto that one...and then I spoke to my mum about it and she happened to mention that she really wants to see the movie as my great grandfather used to be good friends with Munroe in Invergiggle, both being into bikes when it really was not the done thing :Punk:

Everyone says i have alot of his qualities, but he died when I was 9 so i didn't get to know him well, he still sticks in my memory tho. So I guess i must come from good stock :ride:

Really good job.. lay and content were great and does make one wonder if there were enough interested parties on here to actually get a monthly Kiwibiker in colour PDF format circulating.

Good job.
