I've been beaten by phone spam and I dunno how to get it off :(

I've installed AVG and however that hasn't worked, tried inputting my IMEI number into a push notification blocker to no avail.

I thought it had something to do with castle cash as that was the last app I installed before it appeared. castle cash is now gone and it's left behind this bastard :(290600290601290602290603

Try running this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.cleaner.droiddream

It may help or not, I use the Lookout Security app and its awesome. No crap has got past it in the 3-4 years I've had a smartphone, also when my phone was nicked at tech I was able to log into my phone, make it scream, turn the GPS on remotely and locate the phone. Somw litte shit had hidden it inside a wall.... Got it back within half an hour of finding out it was missing.

I have found AVG almost as bad as the malware it's meant to get rid of. My recommendation for anti-virus would be AVAST which is free and very solid/reliable - also has fantastic anti-theft functionality.

Another thing I would suggest if you don't have root access to your phone is trying Airdroid. It's an app that runs a desktop for your phone on your PC, so you can text, etc. through the phone using a browser window (it connects via wi-fi). Using airdroid I have been able to delete (and install) things that I couldn't do directly through the phone operating system. Perhaps you can locate the offending app and delete it that way.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried droid dream which didnt work but thats ok you said it might not. Uinstalled AVG and installed "lookout" which has a lot of cool features thanks for that! Installed airpush detector but then had to wait for the notification to show up again.
Anyway it turned out to be pokemon red dammit.
