Aslan has been to the Burt Munro Challenge plus done the Nevis, Shrek's place, Onslow Rd, Dunstan Trail & Dansey's. He was aiming to camp last night in the Molesworth & ride Port Underwood today.
While stopped here we went to the Spring Lynn bike collection & I reckon his preferred Jap classic is a great choice.

Good to see he's making a decent trip of it, camping even!

With all that gear on the bike, there just has to be a tent in there somewhere! Should mention he came down via some of the West Coast as well.

Edit: just heard he camped with the sand-flies at the Acheron / Clarence confluence. Catching ferry tonight.

me too Jim - hence when Struan said pick any machine in the collection that was the one for me!

Believe they had a reputation for cracking frames - I had the veritable 350 (actually 325) street version

Cheers Wade - be good to see you on the way through to the DB - touch base again nearer the time

We've spoken about doing the TAT - as i travelled through this great country, I found myself thinking - 'why would you want to with all the beautiful scenery / amazing places right here in Aotearoa?'

What with riding to and from the Burt and doing the Cape to Cape at Labour Weekend - I put 5K on the GS's odometer in no time - still brings a grin to my face - loving the relative agility compared to the 1150
