Summary of Ownership:
A real classic that has been my pride and joy since 98 and if my memory serves me correctly then only one owner prior to that. Can't believe that this pocket rocket has been added to LAMS but I've checked with NZTA and sure enough there it is!!

Garaged during the winter but kept in good condition over the years. In usual fashion, its had a quick visit to the workshop, has a full WOF and is good to go just in time for the summer. Always been reluctant to sell but this bike deserves to see more of NZ than I can offer it. Due to busy work and volunteer commitments then I'm only kidding myself if I keep it, serving the bike and any RVF enthusiast a real unjustice of a great partnership.
Manufactured 96, registered in UK(98) and NZ(07), very low mileage.
New tyres, battery, forks, WOF. Rego on hold at mo
$5500 ONO and its yours

Has usual wear & tear for a bike of this age but was given a deserved fairing makeover approx 5yrs ago. Has travelled less than 1000km since then, usually just a quick ride out or enough to keep it ticking over for those summer months

A few more items that may interest a few.....Scorpion exhaust, spare matching painted seat cowling, Haynes Manual and full set of panniers that have never been put to use (less the sale tags being removed the panniers are as new as they get)

If you are interested then PM me before the week is through. If not, the local dealer is in with a chance of getting a very sweet deal unless I chicken out based upon principles of wanting the right person to own this bike at the right price (pse don't make me take the option with the dealer as they will only charge some poor victim significantly over and above what they paid for it - thats just criminal knowing that a few on here have asked several times if anyone has this beauty for sale)

Mate, where were you 4 months ago :mad::mad::mad::mad:

At that price, the bikes a steal. Shouldn't take you too long to sell it. I'm extremely jealous of whomever gets their hands on it.

Best of luck with the sale! Don't accept a penny less for it!

As Glowerss says, that bike is to cheap, dont lower the value of these collectables, starting to get rare, have a look at what they are selling for in Australia and the rest of the world.
KEEP IT MATE !!!!!!!

Sorree, it always been as it is as far as I know....If there is a difference I've never noticed. The before and after photos of the fairing change in approx 08 are pretty similiar so if there was a swap it was done before my team. I've just gone through some old photos and managed to find one from the original sale to me...The showroom photo shows a plain white rear colour scheme but by the time they handed the bike over to me it had the colour scheme it has to today - I never even noticed til now! Is that what you mean? If it was a swap before I become owner then I'm pretty happy that they did:-)

Saw one very very similar (may have been that one) around palmy a while back, do want! But no money atm

Tbh, it has probably done all the depreciating it is going to do (HDC probably knows more about that side of things though), so there's really no reason to sell it, and you may as well hold onto it for a while :innocent:

Hey All,

Quick update as know that I have a few PMs and posts to respond to.....After all this time of having it by my side, I can't believe that we are actually going to go through parting our ways! Fairly happy with the offers coming through but going to be such a :crybaby: when it goes. It now has 3months rego on it so folk can take it for a spin if they are coming to take a peek. Its back with our favourite workshop this weekend with the intention of getting a pre-purchase inspection early next week for those planning to travel from afar. I can't PM folk back by the way...think it because I have only posted a few messages. Over the last few days folk have provided some pretty awesome feedback in person and throughout this thread and I'm feelin pretty proud right now to be the owner of such a great example - enjoying the moment while I can:first:. Someone said today that its the best they have ever seen.....Folks, if you miss this one then heard today that a dealer in Auckland is also pushing one as we speak. Apparently going for a bit more but not as tidy as mine...still, an option if you miss out on this one.

Apologies, been out and about this weekend. Offers are multiple and very good thanks. Still with me (well, workshop awaiting pre-inspection report) but dare say I will be able to update in the next few days. If you have sent a PM, then bear with me...I will get in touch personally but only just got home.

Hey all,

Quick update. Offers are as anticpated and the RVF is now officially under offer:crybaby: Pre-inspection indicates that it is as good on the inside as it is on the out. Thanks for all the messages. I have done my best to reply to most but apologies if I have not managed to reply personally. At this stage it is very unlikely that it will make it past the first offer but several awaiting the news if it does not. Either way, more than satisfied that it is going to go to a good home.

If it makes you feel any better, any RVF is going for well over $5k Aussie... even the shitty ones! A good example in factory colours wll command $6.5 to $8k, again Aussie dollars, so whomever gets this, gets a bargain.

Icemaestro

nc30's go for around 4/4.5 over there as well though...

Yip and I just happen to have one in my garage... only downside is it doesn't qualify for LAMS in WA or anywhere else in Aus for that matter. Would prefer the rvf, but beggars cant be choosers
