View Full Version : Wanganui: Cemetery Circuit Boxing Day (Racer details)
nadroj
6th December 2013, 12:34
Please use this thread as a list of racers who are competing at Wanganui and the class you are racing in preferably with race number.
In past years many racers go looking for pics taken of them after an event & it is usually only a fluke they find some.
Here is your chance to list your details before the event so photographers have a list of priorities.
Remember - list name (the one that will be in the program & your KB name.
Class/s you will be competing in.
Race number
Bike type & colour
Sponsors name that is clearly visible (for ID'ing you approaching).

Bike is an SV650, white with orange front and rear (pro twin number boards), and an orange strip under the belly pan.
TSS Red Baron is at the bottom of the belly pan, but not as big as I would have liked. Will sort that next year.
Zany Zeus on the tank. Station Sports Cafe and Bar on sides as well as The Office Relocation Company. Continental on the forks and swingarm.

Did last 5 laps in 1 gear. BUT fair enough, i got beet

He was still faster than some of the slower bikes, I wondered what had gone wrong with themFaster than others doesn't count as race pace in my opinion. Race pace is what others on track know to expect of you, and Chris and Richie going 50k's slower down the start finish straight than they should be spells f.u.c.k. u.p. to me.

I got a warning in practice for going to slow, nothing wrong with my bike just my pace was slower on that lap so I got a warning. Im not sure if practice is to learn the track or to see who wins?
Maybe we should have the lights for the start of the practice session?

Maybe we should have the lights for the start of the practice session?Wait, so you're not allowed to slow down to get some clear track in front of you?
I have to say, there is a lack of consistency by the organisers of the Suzuki series.

Sorry man, I don't agree at all. The pit exit doubles as a run off road once people are on the track. That's why the gate is so far back down it, letting someone ride toward the oncoming superbikes spells disaster!

Pretty sure the Suzuki boys were putting his bike back together coz I was chatting to him about CNC machines and gear cutting while we waited...
I do have to agree that one rule for all is how it should be. Tough Titties.
Edit: On another note the call up for the dummy grid were nothing short of a fuckup.
There were calls for the next class when the previous one hadn't even left the dummy grid. Then the final calls for classics where we started the bike straight away and Guy still spent 5 minutes on the Dummy grid because recovery had only just gone out as he arrived. Poor buggers cooking engines and cold tyres after arriving from the early first calls. Not to mention the wrong classes being called up....
I wasn't going to winge about it but one of the officials on the Grid with significant experience kept telling them to hold the calls when recovery was out but no one would listening. Happened a few years ago when I was there as well
