Are there any army surplus stores around still? I'm after a set of ex army dixie containers and a drinking mug. Can't find anything around the Waikato. Thanks.

On this subject of Army Surplus Stores, does anyone remember the Valentines Army Surplus Stores
that were in Hamilton back in the sixties and seventies?
They had some amazing goods and clothing and it was great to have a pick through from time to time.

Comrades was a great store. I used to go to the one in wellies all the time.

There's a army surplus in petone, and dang do they have some awesome shit in there. I think I spent a good hour looking through all the goodies.

Remember valentines in hams well,on Friday nights they would fire up the old search light which could be seen for miles around.Their array of war surplus gear was second to none.

Kiwidisposals are good, but quite expensive for a lot of stuff.
