I've been out of the motorcycling loop for a while...come back and find that Waikato Yamaha is gone!

I have an FZ-6 that needs new steering head bearings, full service, a leaky fork looked at, and possibly a chain replacement.

I bought it from what used to be called Boyd Honda...not sure what they call themselves now. But I was never very impressed with their service department. I took my bike there one time and they didn't even know how to check the error codes, which is something you could find out with 2 minutes on google.

Hamiltonians...where do you take your bikes for work like this?

Nick Cruze is the man to see, top yamaha tech from Waik Yamaha, who now works at Hamilton Honda.

That's where I take my Yammie.

Not to mention that they provide good value and servcie as well and I don't even work for them;)

As Al said Honda Hams are good. But I swear by Matt at Hamilton Motorcycles. As long as you stay away from Boyds (Heard so many horror stories) you should be good as wood

Won't be long until someone comes a long and recommends Boyds (insomnia, slofox).

I did like Matt from Hamilton Motorcycles just don't like the rest of them there.

I go with Honda Hamilton and they have been good so far. Any problems I have had with them have been sorted quickly.

I been to boyds for a couple of years for anything I cant do (everything but fill gas tank). I had the odd problem (new brakes wouldn't stop the bike) and new tyre still had the sticker on it when I went out of workshop. Other than that, they are prompt as long as u book.

Haha, so Boyd occasionally just forgets to do stuff that is necessary for staying alive on a motorbike. Good to know -- matches my experience with their monkeys.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'll head on over to Hamilton Honda :)
