Arriving on Monday the 16 Dec, as soon as I have found some wheels I'm off, north for bit then south for longer. That's the end of the planning stage.
If anyone has a bit of spare time either to advise on where to go or where to stay it will be appreciated. biggest problem will be getting a bike fast enough for me to bugger off on

You're arriving in a two month spell when any transgression of 5kmh or more over the limit can be ticketed.
Your choice if you stick to it.

Seems to be an attempt to really piss off most people while not affecting those who need it. I struggle to see why it was safe to overtake a logging truck at 110 on 30th November, but on 1st December, it becomes a hazard and passing lanes become pretty useless.
Aside from this, enjoy your trip brother.

i also just bought a bike a couple of weeks ago and found that this goes a LOT faster than in europe, basicly it's just a mather of filling in some paperwork... so don't worry about that.

Hi tagger, I'm back in cold wet Europe wishing I was still in NZ
I had a fantastic time and met many fantastic people. The bike had a couple of minor problems and was helped out well beyond what would happen here. The kiwi way of life really appeals to me and it won't be my last visit. I wish there was some way I could get to live there but being the wrong end of 40, single and without a Dr degree I fear I'd not pass the first hurdle.
sent from my thingy, using whatchamacallit
