Went for a ride on Sunday and got caught in a massive downpour on the way home from the Rimutakas. Along the motorway my bike just stopped firing, at first it felt like running out of fuel but I had just filled up 50km ago. Pulled over and tried restarting but it would not catch, lights starter motor etc were working. Turned it off for a few minutes tried again and it started up fine. Off on my travels again and a couple of k's down the road same thing again. Once again gave it a few m inutes and was able to ride all the way back home.
My first thoughts were a load of bad fuel, or water getting into the electrics.
Went out today purely to check if it was running by heading backwards and forwards over the Rimutakas in glorious sunshine, and everything went fine... Except a couple of times when I turned off the engine when turning it back on again the dash did not light up but turning of and on again fixed it.
Soooo
What should I do?
Check all the connectors I can get to and give them a good squirt with CRC? Is there something it is most likely to be caused by?
Of course the sun is still shinning so maybe I should just go burn another tank of gas playing in the twisteys?
Cheers
