anybody got this book?....just want to know some info out of it regarding using an rm clutch in a tt 500......saw something about it in there at the library ages ago but the books been lost now,tia.

At least he's not fitting the TT motor in a RM frame , or is that the plan? as many did .

tt mtr in a rm frame=hell no-I like the the orig oil in frame set up and wouldn't dream of ruining a classic like all those other diks who put disc fronts on dinosaurs.I would however like to try the recommended reto fitting of an RM clutch in a TT 500 mtr IF its a straight swap out as from memory the book suggests so just looking to clarify this info.......promise not to ask which library you got the book from!

I totally agree it would be a waste of a good RM.

But according to the MacKellar book the only reference I could find say's "A lighter YZ250A clutch replaced the massive 15-plate XT item."and that's it.
This was on a bike that would eventually end up as the HL500 GP racer.
